Tyler Greene - Founding Partner

As the founding partner of Surface Development, Mr. Greene has over two decades in the real estate industry as a principal, commercial broker, brokerage company owner and developer. He started his real estate career in Salt Lake City, with Colliers International and consulted for a myriad of Fortune 500 companies. He spent 12 years developing for GreeneWaters, a company he co-founded that was responsible for transacting and developing over $400,000,000 in residential, multifamily and hospitality throughout the State of Hawaii. Prior to GreeneWaters, Tyler was the principal and founder of Bridge Properties Group, a commercial real estate brokerage and land development company based in Las Vegas servicing the Arizona, California Nevada and Utah markets. Mr. Greene studied accounting and entrepreneurialism at the University of Utah and spends his time between Oahu, Hawaii and Park City, Utah with his wife and two sons where they spend their free time enjoying the outdoors.

Cy Waldron - Founding Partner

As a Founder and Chief Construction Officer of Surface Development, Cy Waldron has overall responsibility for all construction aspects of each project relating to pre-construction, construction, Property improvement Plan, renovation and value-adds. In addition, Mr. Waldron serves as a member of the Surface Development Board of Directors, Management Committee and Investment Committee. Previously, Mr. Waldron served as the Construction Manager and Director of Business Development for Pentalon Construction. With over 4000 multifamily units completed, Mr. Waldron oversaw the development and construction of multifamily rental communities throughout the region.  During his career, Mr. Waldron has been involved in the entitlement, development and construction of over $300,000,000 in multifamily projects.  As a 3rd generation developer and serial entrepreneur, Mr. Waldron is a Dedicated executive with vast experience having founded, owned, and operated many companies throughout his career. With 25+ years of progressive sales experience with the skills to drive business growth, capitalize on new revenue potential, and manage all aspects of daily business operations. Mr. Waldron is a Proactive leader with refined business acumen and exemplary people skills.

Chris Dobbins - Founding Partner

Chris Dobbins has over 31 years of experience in the hospitality industry with executive roles in operations, sales & marketing, and development at Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt, and Intercontinental Hotels Group. The first 12 years of his career he oversaw hotel operations as well as sales and marketing. Chris transitioned into real estate development for the past 19 years. In real estate and development, he has developed all types of hotels from luxury and boutique segments to select and extended stay hotels. At Starwood Chris developed for the brands Westin, Sheraton, Four Points and Luxury Collection in Western U.S. and Canada. He also helped launch the Aloft and Element Select Service brands. At Hyatt Chris helped Launch a 2-billion-dollar select service platform with the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands. Over his 11 years at Hyatt, he developed over one hundred hotels. During his years in development, he worked all types of deals structures including portfolio acquisition, condominium hotels, joint venture as well as corporate owned, franchised, and managed deals. He has the skills and competitive drive to maximize stakeholder value with successful projects that build lasting client relationships. Chris graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Business and specialization in Hospitality Resort Management. As an avid golfer, Mr. Dobbins enjoys spending his time exploring the beautiful golf courses of Arizona. Chris enjoys traveling and exploring the

world.

John Rita - Partner - Multi Family/Construction

John has an extensive background and education in business and accounting. He was a credit management in a major Hawaii material supply house. He also has experience in Project Management and all phases of construction, including, but not limited to, commercial, residential and government. He has worked through the development and entitlements process many times all over Hawaii.

Russ Sorenson - Partner - Multi Family

Russ has been a licensed general contractor for over 35 years specializing in residential and multi-family projects in both California and Utah. He has built over 100 custom homes throughout the Utah valley as well as several multifamily projects in California and Utah. He has extensive experience in land acquisition, entitlement, infrastructure improvement, build and marketing of projects. Currently, Russ has been instrumental in the vision of the Millcreek City Center wherein he has participated in the design of the master plan and is involved in several development within the new city plan. While studying at the University of Utah, Russ was struck with entrepreneurial passion forming his own construction company at only 24 years old, a real estate brokerage soon thereafter and eventually his own development company.

Mike Oborn - Partner - Multi Family

Mike has an extensive background in real estate investment acquisitions, sales and analysis. He’s well versed in developing relationships with bank REO departments, analyzing potential investments for clients and , is a conduit in creating systems to help investors achieve their goals. Mike is an expert in the support of establishment, sales and growth of companies providing real property investments and financial services working with investors in virtually every major city in the United States and international investors in Australia, Canada and the UK.

Camron Carpenter - Director of Acquisition, Sales, and Marketing

Camron loves his career as a commercial real estate agent and investment advisor. He is a Salt Lake City native and KNOWS Salt Lake City, the Wasatch Front, & Utah, and the nuances and opportunities of commercial real estate that exist in the intermountain West. Camron has participated in the completion of over $94 million dollars of leasing and sales transactions so far.
